Hello everyone!!! After I chose the articles in the newsletter I wanted to touch on them a little myself.
The reading to your children article is a great one!!! I am one who throughly enjoys reading to my kids. Althoug I may not do it as often and I want I love to see their faces react to the stories! Also since teaching 2 year olds at a local Mother's Day Out Program I have had the pleasure of reading to them as well. Reading to those little cuties is a good way to help build their vocabulary and get them to sit.
Alright time to give my thoughts on the back to work after being a stay at home mom. I have beena stay at home mom since my first child was born back in September of 2009. I have a love and hate realtionship with my stay at home mom status, I LOVE being with my kids but I HATE not having time for myself. Finding the teaching job at the MDO program was perfect! Yes I am still around kids but the are not my kids and that really makes a difference. It is tough though because when I was home all day I never really had to have a schedule on cleaning or grocery shopping or anything I kinda just did it when I wanted to, but now I have to plan it. I like it, it gives me some structure. If you are a stay at home mom and have been comtemplating going back to work my personal suggestion would be to ease back into it because the older we get the more difficult change is.
Just an FYI there willbe no newsletter next week. I will be unable to do the work required to get one out.
